چاند کی خاک چھانتے رہئے
راج کھیتی
چاند کی خاک چھانتے رہئے
اس حقیقت کو مانتے رہئے
رات مہکے گی چاندنی کی طرح
پھول جوڑے میں ٹانکتے رہئے
لے کے ہاتھوں میں درد کا کشکول
آس کی بھیک مانگتے رہئے
چاند دھرتی کو چوم لے شاید
دل کے روزن سے جھانکتے رہئے
ہاتھ آ جائے گی گگن کی پتنگ
ڈور سے ڈور باندھتے رہئے
چاہے موتی ملیں نہ صحرا سے
درد کی ریت چھانتے رہئے
درد دل کا یہی مداوا ہے
ہر مسرت کو بانٹتے رہئے

aas ki bhik mangte rahiye
chand dharti ko chum le shayad
dil ke rauzan se jhankte rahiye
hath aa jaegi gagan ki patang
Dor se Dor bandhte rahiye
chahe moti milen na sahra se
dard ki ret chhante rahiye
dard-e-dil ka yahi mudawa hai
har masarrat ko banTte rahiye
