خمار شب میں جو اک دوسرے پہ گرتے ہیں

وہ لوگ مے سے زیادہ نشے پہ گرتے ہیں

سمیٹ لے گا وہ اپنی کشادہ بانہوں میں

جو گر رہے ہیں اسی آسرے پہ گرتے ہیں

یہ عشق ہے کہ ہوس ان دنوں تو پروانے

دیے کی لو کو بڑھا کر دیے پہ گرتے ہیں

گزارتا ہوں جو شب عشق بے معاش کے ساتھ

تو صبح اشک مرے ناشتے پہ گرتے ہیں

علاج اہل ستم چاہئے ابھی سے ظفرؔ

ابھی تو سنگ ذرا فاصلے پہ گرتے ہیں
