میں ایک ہاتھ تری موت سے ملا آیا

ترے سرہانے اگربتیاں جلا آیا

مہکتے باغ سا اک خاندان اجاڑ دیا

اجل کے ہاتھ میں کیا پھول کے سوا آیا

ترا خیال نہ آیا سو تیری فرقت میں

میں رو چکا تو مرے دل کو صبر سا آیا

مثال کنج قفس کچھ جگہ تھی تیرے قریب

میں اپنے نام کی تختی وہاں لگا آیا

مکان اپنی جگہ سے ہٹا ہوا تھا ظفرؔ

نہ جانے کون سا لمحہ گریز پا آیا
