محبت میں سکوں محرومیوں کے بعد آتا ہے
کہ جب ہر آسرا مٹ جائے تب دل چین پاتا ہے
خود اپنا ہی لہو آواز کو رنگیں بناتا ہے
کچل جاتا ہے جب دل تب کہیں نغمہ سناتا ہے
یہ کیا جبر مشیت ہے یہ کیا جبر صداقت ہے
کہ جس کو ہم بھلانا چاہتے ہیں یاد آتا ہے
یہ کیا ضد ہے کہ دنیا بھی رکھو اور جی نہ میلا ہو
یہ دنیا خوش ہی تب ہوتی ہے جب دل ٹوٹ جاتا ہے
کرم کیسا یہاں تو نرم لہجے سے بھی دہشت ہے
طبیعت خوش تو ہو جاتی ہے پر دل تھرتھراتا ہے
