کیا کسی لمحۂ رفتہ نے ستایا ہے تجھے

ان دنوں میں نے پریشان سا پایا ہے تجھے

بحر شادابیٔ جذبات کی اے موج رواں

کون اس دشت بلا خیز میں لایا ہے تجھے

تیری تنویر سلامت مگر اے مہر مبیں

گھر کی دیوار پہ یوں کس نے سجایا ہے تجھے

شکوۂ تلخئ حالات بجا ہے لیکن

اس پہ روتا ہوں کہ میں نے بھی رلایا ہے تجھے

گاہ پہنا ہے تجھے خلعت زریں کی طرح

گاہ پیوند کے مانند چھپایا ہے تجھے

تو کبھی مجھ سے رہی مثل صبا دامن کش

اور کبھی اپنے ہی بستر پہ سلایا ہے تجھے

میری آشفتہ مزاجی میں نہیں کوئی کلام

روٹھ کے سارے زمانے سے منایا ہے تجھے
