مقدر یوں سنوارے جا رہے ہیں

اے دریا ہم تمہارا ساتھ دیں گے

جہاں تک بھی کنارے جا رہے ہیں

جنہیں پہلے ڈبویا جا چکا ہے

وہی پھر کیوں ابھارے جا رہے ہیں

ذرا نمکین پانی سے سنا ہے

دلوں کے زنگ اتارے جا رہے ہیں

قیامت جس جگہ ٹوٹی تھی ہم پر

وہیں سے پھر گزارے جا رہے ہیں

ہلائی تھی کبھی زنجیر ہم نے

سنا ہے اب پکارے جا رہے ہیں
