ہو کے خوش ناز ہم ایسوں کے اٹھانے والا

کوئی باقی نہ رہا اگلے زمانے والا

خواب تک میں بھی نظر آتا نہیں اے چشم

میرے رو دینے پہ اشکوں کا بہانے والا

آج کچھ شام سے چپ ہے دل محزوں کیا علم

کیوں خفا ہے مرا راتوں کا جگانے والا

بے خودی کیوں نہ ہو طاری کہ گیا سینے سے

اشک خوں آٹھ پہر مجھ کو رلانے والا

کب سمجھتا ہے کہ جینا بھی ہے آخر کوئی شے

اپنی ہستی تری الفت میں مٹانے والا

محتسب خوش ہے بہت توڑ کے خم ہائے شراب

غم نہیں سر پہ سلامت ہے پلانے والا

ہو گئے دیکھنے والے بھی جہاں سے نایاب

اب دکھائے کسے حیراں ہے دکھانے والا

تیرے بیمار محبت کی یہ حالت پہنچی

کہ ہٹایا گیا تکیہ بھی سرہانے والا

سامنا اس بت کافر کا ہے دیکھیں کیا ہو

خود ہے ششدر مرا ایمان بچانے والا

شادؔ اک بھیڑ لگی رہتی تھی جس گھر میں وہاں

آنے والا ہے نہ اب کوئی نہ جانے والا
