بے تاب ہیں اور عشق کا دعویٰ نہیں ہم کو

آوارہ ہیں اور دشت کا سودا نہیں ہم کو

غیروں کی محبت پہ یقیں آنے لگا ہے

یاروں سے اگرچہ کوئی شکوہ نہیں ہم کو

نیرنگیئ دل ہے کہ تغافل کا کرشمہ

کیا بات ہے جو تیری تمنا نہیں ہم کو

یا تیرے علاوہ بھی کسی شے کی طلب ہے

یا اپنی محبت پہ بھروسا نہیں ہم کو

یا تم بھی مداوائے الم کر نہیں سکتے

یا چارہ گرو فکر مداوا نہیں ہم کو

یوں برہمئی کاکل امروز سے خوش ہیں

جیسے کہ خیال رخ فردا نہیں ہم کو
