ہماری آنکھ میں نقشہ یہ کس مکان کا ہے

یہاں کا سارا علاقہ تو آسمان کا ہے

ہمیں نکلنا پڑا رات کے جزیرے سے

خطر اگرچہ اس اک فیصلے میں جان کا ہے

خبر نہیں ہے کہ دریا میں کشتیٔ جاں ہے

معاہدہ جو ہواؤں سے بادبان کا ہے

تمام شہر پر خاموشیاں مسلط ہیں

لبوں کو کھولو کہ یہ وقت امتحان کا ہے

کہا ہے اس نے تو گزرے گا جسم سے ہو کر

یقین یوں ہے وہ پکا بہت زبان کا ہے
