اک پل بھی اگر بھول سے ہم سو گئے ہوتے

ہر بار پلٹتے ہوئے گھر کو یہی سوچا

اے کاش کسی لمبے سفر کو گئے ہوتے

ہم خوش ہیں ہمیں دھوپ وراثت میں ملی ہے

اجداد کہیں پیڑ بھی کچھ بو گئے ہوتے

کس منہ سے کہیں تجھ سے سمندر کے ہیں حق دار

سیراب سرابوں سے بھی ہم ہو گئے ہوتے
