شہزاد واثق
سرنگوں موسم بہار میں ہے
یہ شجر کس کے انتظار میں ہے
تاب نظارہ آنکھ کو بھی نہیں
دل بھی کب اپنے اختیار میں ہے
زیست ہو بات ہو کہ مجلس ہو
لطف گر ہے تو اختصار میں ہے
وہ بس اک بار چھو کے گزرے تھے
روح تک لمس کے خمار میں ہے
کیسا الٹا سفر ہے جیون کا
یہ چڑھاؤ کسی اتار میں ہے
زیست کرنے میں لطف کیا ڈھونڈھیں
کیا مزہ وقت مستعار میں ہے
بات کچھ تو عجیب ہے اب کے
کیسی تلخی مزاج یار میں ہے
