چھوٹی سی ایک بات بڑی دور تک گئی
ہم تو ہر امتحاں میں ہوئے سرخ رو مگر
مجبورئ حیات بڑی دور تک گئی
تشنہ لبی تو زیست کا اوج کمال تھی
گو کہ لب فرات بڑی دور تک گئی
واعظ تمہاری جنت و دوزخ کی خیر ہو
رندوں کی کائنات بڑی دور تک گئی
بچھڑے ہر ایک موڑ پہ ساتھی بہت مگر
اک یاد میرے سات بڑی دور تک گئی
ہم نے سبھی کو چاہا مقرر حدود میں
لیکن تمہاری ذات بڑی دور تک گئی
