ہر سازش کے پیچھے اپنے نکلیں گے

چاند ستارے گود میں آ کر بیٹھ گئے

سوچا یہ تھا پہلی بس سے نکلیں گے

سب امیدوں کے پیچھے مایوسی ہے

توڑو یہ بادام بھی کڑوے نکلیں گے

میں نے رشتے طاق پہ رکھ کر پوچھ لیا

اک چھت پر کتنے پرنالے نکلیں گے

جانے کب یہ دوڑ تھمے گی سانسوں کی

جانے کب پیروں سے جوتے نکلیں گے

ہر کونے سے تیری خوشبو آئے گی

ہر صندوق میں تیرے کپڑے نکلیں گے

اپنے خون سے اتنی تو امیدیں ہیں

اپنے بچے بھیڑ سے آگے نکلیں گے
