بچپن بیتا کھوئی جوانی

آیا بزرگی کا موسم

جس کی ہر اک ساعت نے

آنکھوں کو بے نور کیا

آس کو چکنا چور کیا

تب جا کر یہ راز کھلا

رات کے تٹ پر آ کر سورج

ظلمت کا ہو جاتا ہے

اور تعطل جسموں میں بو جاتا ہے

bachpan bita khoi jawani
aaya buzurgi ka mausam

jis ki har ek saat ne
aankhon ko be-nur kiya

aas ko chakna-chur kiya
tab ja kar ye raaz khula

raat ke taT par aa kar suraj
zulmat ka ho jata hai

aur tattul jismon mein bo jata hai
