اپنے ہونے سے تو مُکر گیا ہے

پیار کا بوجھ کیا اُتر گیا ہے

کوئی ملتا نہیں گریباں چاک

اس کا مطلب ہے قیس مر گیا ہے

پھر سے فصل ِ بہار آنے تک

پھول دل کا بکھر بکھر گیا ہے

تو کہاں ہے اُسے نہیں معلوم

ڈھونڈنے تجھ کو در بدر گیا ہے

آئنے کو بنانے والا بھی

آئنہ دیکھتے ہی ڈر گیا ہے

کب یقیں آئے گا تجھے جاذب

اپنے وعدے سے وہ مُکر گیا ہے
