ہو روح کے تئیں جسم سے کس طرح محبت

طائر کو قفس سے بھی کہیں ہو ہے محبت

گو ظل ہما مت ہو رہے سر پہ ہمارے

تا حشر تیرا سایۂ دیوار سلامت

اطوار ترے باعث آفات جہاں ہیں

آثار ترے ہیں گے سب آثار قیامت

صیاد نہ اب بے پر و بالوں کو تو اب چھوڑ

پھر حسرت گل دے گی ہمیں سخت اذیت

اسباب جہاں کی تو دلا فکر نہ کر تو

حاصل نہیں کچھ اس میں بجز رنج و مشقت

چھوڑوں گا نہ میں تجھ کو ترے خط کے بھی آئے

تو تب بھی نہ ہو یار تو یہ بھی مری قسمت

تاباںؔ تو سدا سیر ہر اک گل کی کیا کر

اس گلشن ہستی کا نظارا ہے غنیمت
