خنجر کا وار کرتے ہی قاتل رواں ہوا

ارمان دید دیدۂ بسمل میں رہ گیا

جتنی صفا تھی سب رخ جاناں میں آ گئی

جو داغ رہ گیا مہ کامل میں رہ گیا

اے مہربان دشت محبت چلے چلو

اپنا تو پائے شوق سلاسل میں رہ گیا

وحشت فزا بہت تھی ہوا دشت قیس کی

پردہ کسی کا پردۂ محمل میں رہ گیا

محرومؔ دل کے ہاتھ سے جاں تھی عذاب میں

اچھا ہوا کہ یار کی محفل میں رہ گیا
