شہر سے ایک طرف دور بہت

آج رویا دل مہجور بہت

دور ہے صبح شب غم اے دل

ہے ستاروں میں ابھی نور بہت

کس کو منظور تھا رسوا ہونا

دل کے ہاتھوں ہوئے مجبور بہت

موت ایام جوانی میں بھی

نظر آتی تھی مگر دور بہت

منحصر وادیٔ سینا پہ نہیں

جذب موسیٰ ہو اگر طور بہت

ایک ہی وار کے قابل نکلا

یوں تو کہنے کو ہیں منصور بہت

تم کو کس رنج نے مارا محرومؔ

کہ نظر آتے ہو رنجور بہت
