ْقابلِ رشک بھی ہوں قابلِ تردید بھی ہوں

ْقابلِ رشک بھی ہوں قابلِ تردید بھی ہوں

میں بیک وقت اندھیرا بھی ہوں خورشید بھی ہوں

میں ہی ہوں سیٹھ کی مغرور ہنسی میں پنہاں

میں ہی مزدور کی حسرت سے بھری دید بھی ہوں

ایک لمحے کو تو اندوہ بھری شب ہوں میں

دوسرے لمحے مسرّت سے سجی عید بھی ہوں

مجھ میں اک دشت ہے اس دشت کا ہر ذرّہ ہے خوف

کہنے کو میں ولیِ گلشنِ توحید بھی ہوں

جب بھی کوئی غلطی ہو تو کھٹکتا ہے دروں

یعنی خود اپنی ہی میں ذات پہ تنقید بھی ہوں

میں وہ پنچھی ہوں جو ہے ڈار میں سب سے آگے

اپنی دھن میں ہوں، تبھی قابلِ تقلید بھی ہوں

جو بھی حق بات ہے، سمجھو کہ وہی بات ہوں میں

پھر میں اس بات کی شدّت بھری تاکید بھی ہوں
