عروج زیدی بدایونی

رفتہ رفتہ دل بے تاب ٹھہر جائے گا

رفتہ رفتہ تری نظروں کا اثر جائے گا

داد بیداد کی اس میں کوئی تخصیص نہیں

نقش ہستی میں کوئی رنگ تو بھر جائے گا

آپ اگر مائل تجدید ستم ہو جائیں

رنگ تعلیم وفا اور نکھر جائے گا

ارض تشنہ پہ برس ابر رواں کھل کے برس

بات رہ جائے گی یہ وقت گزر جائے گا

دھوپ اور چھاؤں مسلم مگر اپنی حد میں

وقت پابند نہیں ہے کہ ٹھہر جائے گا

روشنی میں ہے چراغوں کے تلے تاریکی

ہم سمجھتے تھے کہ ماحول سنور جائے گا

عشق تو اپنی جگہ کیف مسلسل ہے عروجؔ

نشۂ بادہ نہیں ہے جو اتر جائے گا
