سانحے اور بھی امکان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

سانحے اور بھی امکان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

اور غمِ ہجر کو بھی دھیان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

زندگی میرے ہی گھر میں ہے پنپتی ہوئی شے

چار گملے مرے دالان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

رنگ و خوشبو کے علاوہ بھی تو کچھ ہے ان میں

پھول جو توڑ کے گلدان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

دیکھنا ان کو تکبر کا ہے سادہ سا علاج

عیب جو اپنے گریبان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں

ہم وہ تحقیق کے مارے ہیں جو پا لیتے ہیں

فائدے جتنے بھی نقصان میں رکھے ہوئے ہیں
