یہ کیا ہے جو سینے میں سلگتا رہتا ہے

یہ کیا ہے جو سینے میں سلگتا رہتا ہے

دل ہے کہ جلتا رہتا ہے.

کوئی بھی تو میرا منتظر نہیں ہے

دیوانہ ہے کہ چلتا رہتا ہے.

شکر ہے کہ دل بہل جاتا ہے میرا

کہ وہ روز ہم سے مِلتا رہتا ہے.

محبت تو اُس گل کی مانند ہے ہوبہو

خزاں میں بھی جو کھِلتا رہتا ہے.

اور یہ غلط ہے کہ دور بدل جاتا ہے

اِنساں ہے جو بدلتا رہتا ہے.

مت کہو احتشام کہ ہوا ٹھہر گئی ہے

دیکھو پتّا ہے کہ، ہِلتا رہتا ہے.
