یہاں مصروف ہو کر بھی رہا بے کار اتنا ہی

نہ کوئی عشق تھا ایسا ، مگر میں خوار اتنا ہی

بچھڑنےپر تُلا جب وہ سنی کوئی نہیں اس نے

کہ آخر سارے میں تھا میں بھی حصے دار اتنا ہی

بظاہر تو یہی لگتا ہے سب آسان ہی ہوگا

حقیقت میں مگر یہ کام ہے دشوار اتنا ہی

اب اس نے کوئی لکھ کرتو نہیں دینی ہمیں یہ بات

کہ سب کے سامنے ہو سکتا ہے اقرار اتنا ہی

بہت واضح بتا دینے سے بنتی ہی نہیں وہ بات

ضروری ہے کسی بھی شعرمیں اظہار اتنا ہی

کوئی پلڑا تو بھاری ہونا ہے آخر ترازو کا

ابھی اقرار ہےاس کایہاں انکار اتنا ہی

ضرورت سے زیادہ تو میں رکھتا ہی نہیں ہرگز

مرا حصہ ہے پورا اور مجھے درکار اتنا ہی

اضافہ کرنا ہے مقدار میں آہستہ آہستہ

کہ ایسا کام ہو سکتا ہے پہلی بار اتنا ہی
