ہجوم میں رہنے سے بھی یہ تنہائی نہیں جاتی

کہانی درد کی ہم سے پھر کوئی سنائی نہیں جاتی

کُچھ عجب عالم ہے تیرے ساتھ تعلق کا بھی

آشنا ہوں تُجھ سے مگر یہ نا آشنائی نہیں جاتی

جدا ہو کر بھی ہمارے پاس رہ گئے ہو تم

جا چُکے تُم کب کے مگر جُدائی نہیں جاتی

گلہ کرتے ہیں چمن کے گل ہر روز مُجھ سے

گُلوں میں رہ کر گُلوں سے بے اعتنائی نہیں جاتی

دل میں اُتر سکو تو آؤ تمہیں دکھا دیں سب کُچھ

ورنہ درد کی تصویر تو ہم سے بنائی نہیں جاتی

اسی آگ میں ہی جل رہا ہے زمانہ سارا

یہ محبت کی آگ ہم سے لگائی نہیں جاتی

کیوں کسی عہد کے بدلے کسی کی جان مانگیں

اِس طرح سے بھی تو مخلوقِ خدا آزمائی نہیں جاتی

اب تُم ہی کندھا دو اِس نڈھال جسم کو علی

ورنہ ہم سے یہ زندہ لاش اٹھائی نہیں جاتی
