وہ آتا تھا کبھی کبھی اور فوراََ چلا بھی جاتا تھا

وہ آتا تھا کبھی کبھی اور فوراََ چلا بھی جاتا تھا

کچھ دیر رک جانے سے اس کا کیا جاتا تھا

ترس گئے ہم اس سے بات کرنے کہ لئے

اور وہ ہے کہ میری ہر بات پہ روٹھ جاتا تھا

میں نے کی باتیں وفا کی اس سے ہمیشہ

اور وہ میری انہی باتوں کو بھول جاتا تھا

دیکھے تھے خواب میں نے تو اس کے ہی دن رات

اور میرے بارے میں سوچنے سے اس کا کیا جاتا تھا

یہ عدائیں نہیں تھیں عادت تھا اس کی اور پھر بھی کہتا تھا

مجھے روکنے منانے اور یاد دلانے میں آپ کا کیا جاتا تھا
