ہم جو دن رات یہ عطر دل و جاں کھینچتے ہیں

والی آسی

ہم جو دن رات یہ عطر دل و جاں کھینچتے ہیں

نفع کم کرتے ہیں اے یار زیاں کھینچتے ہیں

سوچنے کے لیے موضوع سخن کوئی نہیں

صبح سے شام تلک صرف دھواں کھینچتے ہیں

میں نے مدت سے کوئی سچ بھی نہیں بولا ہے

پھر مجھے دار پہ کیوں اہل جہاں کھینچتے ہیں

اب بھی رہتے ہیں بہت ایسے بہادر جو یہاں

دودھ پیتے ہوئے بچوں پہ کماں کھینچتے ہیں

وہ مصاحب جو زباں کھولتے ڈرتے تھے کبھی

اب وہی میرے بزرگوں کی زباں کھینچتے ہیں

میرے قاتل مجھے پہچان گئے ہیں شاید

ورنہ کیوں جسم سے یوں نوک سناں کھینچتے ہیں

رہ گزاروں کی ہوا کا تو میں جاندادہ نہ تھا

کیوں مری نعش کو گلیوں میں یہاں کھینچتے ہیں
