سنو یہ غم کی سیہ رات جانے والی ہے

ابھی اذان کی آواز آنے والی ہے

تجھے یقین تو شاید نہ آئے گا لیکن

یہ صبح کوئی کرشمہ دکھانے والی ہے

کسے خبر ہے کہ آندھی چلائے پیڑ گرائے

یہی ہوا جو پتنگیں اڑانے والی ہے

سمیٹ بکھرے ہوئے کاغذات کو اپنے

کوئی صدا تجھے واپس بلانے والی ہے

تجھے بھی ظلم سے فرصت نہ مل سکے گی کبھی

مری انا بھی کہاں سر جھکانے والی ہے

مری غزل پہ نئے لوگ کیوں تڑپتے ہیں

مری غزل تو پرانے زمانے والی ہے
