تجھ سے بچھڑ کے یوں تو بہت جی اداس ہے

لیکن یہ لگ رہا ہے کہ تو میرے پاس ہے

دریا دکھائی دیتا ہے ہر ایک ریگ زار

شاید کہ ان دنوں مجھے شدت کی پیاس ہے

حیرت سے سب کو تکتے ہیں پتھر بنے ہوئے

جادوگروں کے شہر میں اپنا نواس ہے

تم کو سنا رہا ہے لطیفے جو رات دن

وہ آدمی تو تم سے زیادہ اداس ہے

ویراں ہے میرا گھر بھی اسی طرح دوستو

کالج میں جس طرح کوئی اردو کلاس ہے

پوچھو کوئی سوال ملے گا غلط جواب

والیؔ ہر ایک شخص یہاں بد حواس ہے
