جو تجھے اور مجھے ایک کر سکا نہیں
وہ ترا خدا نہیں وہ مرا خدا نہیں
زندگی ملی کبھی تو گلہ کریں گے پر
زندگی ملی نہیں تو گلہ کیا نہیں
میں جو اس دیار میں اب تلک نہیں مرا
کیا مرا کوئی عزیز اب یہاں بچا نہیں
جس کے احترام میں سر کٹا دیا گیا
اس کو تو خبر نہیں اس کو تو پتا نہیں
خود سے دور ہو گئے چور چور ہو گئے
رسی جل گئی مگر اس کا بل گیا نہیں
زخم کی نزاکتوں کو نہیں سمجھ سکا
تو وقارؔ خان ہے جونؔ ایلیا نہیں
