کبوتر مقبروں پر رات دن

دن رات رہتے ہیں

مسافر چلتے رہتے ہیں

کبوتر دودھ ایسے پر

سیہ دیوار کی جالی سے آتی

دھوپ کی کنگھی سے

جب ہموار کرتے ہیں

تو بوڑھے مقبروں پر

کائی کے جنگل مہکتے ہیں

مسافر چلتے رہتے ہیں

یہ بنجارے

جنہیں بس چند لمحے ہی ٹھہرنا ہے

انہیں روکو نہیں

یہ موسمی آبی پرندے ہیں

جنہیں میلے پروں کے ساتھ اڑنا ہے

انہیں رکنا نہیں آتا
