شکست خواب کا اعلان کر دیا میں نے

جو تیر آئے تھے اس کی طرف سے سینے پر

سجا کے زخموں کا گلدان کر دیا میں نے

غموں کا تاج مرے سر پہ جب سے رکھا ہے

خود اپنے آپ کو سلطان کر دیا میں نے

نہ کوئی پھول ہی رکھا نہ آرزو نہ چراغ

تمام گھر کو بیابان کر دیا میں نے

وہ چاہتا تھا کہ سب کچھ لٹا کے زندہ رہوں

لو آج پورا یہ ارمان کر دیا میں نے

میں زد پہ تیروں کے خود آ گیا ہوں آج ظفرؔ

ترے نشانے کو آسان کر دیا میں نے
