بینائی سے باہر کبھی اندر مجھے دیکھے

ممکن ہی نہیں ہے وہ برابر مجھے دیکھے

ہو جائے کبھی رات مرے دم سے بھی روشن

وہ شمع تماشا جو گھڑی بھر مجھے دیکھے

میں خود میں تو موجود ہی مشکل سے رہوں گا

ہر دیکھنے والا مرے باہر مجھے دیکھے

ڈھونڈے کوئی مجھ کو تو اسی خاک ہوس میں

یا سلسلۂ سیل ہوا پر مجھے دیکھے

ماحول ہی کچھ ہو چمن خواب کا ایسا

بلبل مجھے سمجھے تو گل تر مجھے دیکھے

اب دیکھنا ہی شرط یہ ٹھہری ہے کہ یوں ہو

میں منظر نایاب کو منظر مجھے دیکھے

دریا کی پذیرائی میں شک تو نہیں لیکن

اک لہر ہو ایسی بھی کہ اٹھ کر مجھے دیکھے

میں بار دگر ہی کہیں آتا ہوں سمجھ میں

جو دیکھنا چاہے سو مکرر مجھے دیکھے

میرا نظر آنا ہے ظفرؔ بات ہی کچھ اور

جو دیکھ نہیں سکتا وہ اکثر مجھے دیکھے
