دل کا یہ دشت عرصۂ محشر لگا مجھے

میں کیا بلا ہوں رات بڑا ڈر لگا مجھے

آگے بھی عشق میں ہوئیں رسوائیاں مگر

اب کے وفا کا زخم جبیں پر لگا مجھے

اے دل وہ مہرباں ہے یوں ہی بد گماں نہ ہو

مارا تھا اس نے غیر کو پتھر لگا مجھے

ہر سو ترے وجود کی خوشبو تھی خیمہ زن

وہ دن کہ اپنا گھر بھی ترا گھر لگا مجھے

ہنس کر نہ ٹال جا کہ یہ امید کی کرن

وہ تیر ہے کہ سینے کے اندر لگا مجھے

تاریکیٔ حیات کا اندازہ کر کہ آج

داغ شکست مہر منور لگا مجھے

سانچے تو تھے غزل کے سوا بھی مگر ظفرؔ

کیا جانے کیوں یہ ظرف حسین تر لگا مجھے
