اس عام عنایت کو عنایت نہ کہیں گے

کہئے تو کہوں انجمن غیر کو روداد

کیا اب بھی اسے آپ کرامت نہ کہیں گے

سمجھیں گے نہ اغیار کو اغیار کہاں تک

کب تک وہ محبت کو محبت نہ کہیں گے

جب عربدہ جو تم ہو تو کیوں صبر سمیٹیں

ہم اس میں رقیبوں کی شرارت نہ کہیں گے

ہے یاد ظہیرؔ ان کا شب وصل بگڑنا

وہ تلخیٔ دشنام کی لذت نہ کہیں گے
