ظہیرؔ دہلوی

ان کو حال دل پر سوز سنا کر اٹھے

اور دو چار کے گھر آگ لگا کر اٹھے

تم نے پہلو میں مرے بیٹھ کے آفت ڈھائی

اور اٹھے بھی تو اک حشر اٹھا کر اٹھے

وعدۂ وصل سے ہے نعش پہ آنے کی امید

مژدۂ قتل مرا مجھ کو سنا کر اٹھے

منہ چھپانے میں تو ہے شرم و حیا کا پردہ

ہاں مگر دل بھی نگہ تھا کہ چرا کر اٹھے

آج آئے تھے گھڑی بھر کو ظہیرؔ ناکام

آپ بھی روئے ہمیں ساتھ رلا کر اٹھے
