اسی ندامت سے اس کے کندھے جھکے ہوئے ہیں

کہ ہم چھڑی کا سہارا لے کر کھڑے ہوئے ہیں

یہاں سے جانے کی جلدی کس کو ہے تم بتاؤ

کہ سوٹ کیسوں میں کپڑے کس نے رکھے ہوئے ہیں

کرا تو لوں گا علاقہ خالی میں لڑ جھگڑ کر

مگر جو اس نے دلوں پہ قبضے کیے ہوئے ہیں

وہ خود پرندوں کا دانہ لینے گیا ہوا ہے

اور اس کے بیٹے شکار کرنے گئے ہوئے ہیں

تمہارے دل میں کھلی دکانوں سے لگ رہا ہے

یہ گھر یہاں پر بہت پرانے بنے ہوئے ہیں

میں کیسے باور کراؤں جا کر یہ روشنی کو

کہ ان چراغوں پہ میرے پیسے لگے ہوئے ہیں

تمہاری دنیا میں کتنا مشکل ہے بچ کے چلنا

قدم قدم پر تو آستانے بنے ہوئے ہیں

تم ان کو چاہو تو چھوڑ سکتے ہو راستے میں

یہ لوگ ویسے بھی زندگی سے کٹے ہوئے ہیں
