خاموش زمزمے ہیں مرا حرف زار چپ

ہر اختیار چپ ہے ہر اک اعتبار چپ

باد سموم درپئے آزار دیکھ کر

سکتے میں بے قرار ہے باد بہار چپ

منظر نہیں ہیں بولتے صحرا اداس ہے

پتھرا گئی ہے آنکھ دل داغ دار چپ

جو کچھ بھی ہو رہا ہے یہ مقسوم تو نہیں

بس تجھ کو کھا گئی ہے تری سوگوار چپ

ہر ایک کو ہوں گوش بر آواز دیکھتا

اوڑھے ہوئے ہوں جب سے میں اک با وقار چپ

حرف دعا نہ دست طلب در پہ آن کر

لب پر فقط ہے رقص میں اک دل فگار چپ
