NA-178 National Assembly Rahim Yar Khan-lV - Results in 2008 General Election

In 2008 General National Assembly Election, Jamshed Ahmed Dasti from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member National Assembly MNA, and got 53817 votes, the second runner up was Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan Babar from Pakistan Democratic Party who got 50102 votes. 18 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 283523 voters registered in NA-178, out of which 122161 votes were polled out, 120939 votes were valid and 1222 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 43.08 % for NA-178 constituency of National Assembly.
