PP-229 Punjab Assembly Vehari-I - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Sardar Wajid Ali from Pakistan Muslim League (N) was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 24989 votes, the second runner up was Ahmed Shah Khagga from Independent who got 24954 votes. 7 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 123693 voters registered in PP-229, out of which 59992 votes were polled out, 59141 votes were valid and 851 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 48.50 % for PP-229 constituency of Punjab.
