PP-28 Punjab Assembly Gujrat-I - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Dr. Malik Mukhtar Ahmed Bharath from Pakistan Muslim League was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 45686 votes, the second runner up was Haji Mushtaq Ahmed Gondal from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians who got 19477 votes. 4 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 179208 voters registered in PP-28, out of which 76758 votes were polled out, 74524 votes were valid and 2234 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 42.42 % for PP-28 constituency of Punjab.
