PP-284 Punjab Assembly Layyah-V - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Ch. Shahid Anjum from Pakistan Muslim League(Z) was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 49913 votes, the second runner up was Kashif Naveed Pansota from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians who got 25548 votes. 17 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 180226 voters registered in PP-284, out of which 84349 votes were polled out, 83591 votes were valid and 758 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 46.80 % for PP-284 constituency of Punjab.
