PP-51 Punjab Assembly Gujranwala-I - Results in 2008 Provincial General Election

In 2008 General Provincial Punjab Election, Haji Liaqat Ali from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians was elected as Member Punjab Assembly MPA, and got 44893 votes, the second runner up was Muhammad Afzal Sahi from Pakistan Muslim League who got 33777 votes. 7 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates contested in the election.
In Election 2008, there were total 137979 voters registered in PP-51, out of which 80590 votes were polled out, 79655 votes were valid and 1001 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 58.40 % for PP-51 constituency of Punjab.
