Results of NA-5 Peshawar-II Bye-Election held on 1 January 1970
The Bye-Election was held on 1st January 1970 in National Assembly constituency NA-5 Peshawar-II. Dr. Arbab Alamgir Khan from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians got 34443 votes and was elected as Member National Assembly (MNA). The first runner up was Arbab Najeeb Ullah Khan Khalil from Awami National Party who got 23992 votes. Total 9 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 314904 voters registered in NA-5, out of which 77892 votes were polled out, 76293 votes were valid and 2003 votes were rejected.
