Results of PP-142 Sheikhupura-VIII Bye-Election held on 22 August 2013

The Bye-Election was held on 22nd August 2013 in Provincial Punjab Assembly constituency PP-142 Sheikhupura-VIII. Khawaja Salman Rafiq from Pakistan Muslim League (n) got 17369 votes and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA). The first runner up was Waqar Ahmad from Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf who got 4730 votes. Total 5 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 136080 voters registered in PP-142, out of which 23439 votes were polled out, 23180 votes were valid and 259 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 17.22 % for PP-142 constituency of National Assembly.
