Results of PP-289 Dera Ghazi Khan-V Bye-Election held on 22 August 2013

The Bye-Election was held on 22nd August 2013 in Provincial Punjab Assembly constituency PP-289 Dera Ghazi Khan-V. Rais Muhammad Mehboob Ahmed from Pakistan Muslim League (n) got 30687 votes and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA). The first runner up was Mian Muhammad Aslam Advocate from Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians who got 27037 votes. Total 13 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 133479 voters registered in PP-289, out of which 60061 votes were polled out, 59013 votes were valid and 1048 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 45.00 % for PP-289 constituency of National Assembly.
