Results of PP-6 Rawalpindi-I Bye-Election held on 22 August 2013

The Bye-Election was held on 22nd August 2013 in Provincial Punjab Assembly constituency PP-6 Rawalpindi-I. Chaudhary Sarfraz Afzal from Pakistan Muslim League (n) got 30588 votes and was elected as Member Provincial Assembly (MPA). The first runner up was Wasiq Qayum Abbassi from Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf who got 21532 votes. Total 10 candidates from different political parties & independent candidates participated in the Bye-Election. There were total 234406 voters registered in PP-6, out of which 55309 votes were polled out, 54511 votes were valid and 798 votes were rejected. The total percentage of valid votes was 23.60 % for PP-6 constituency of National Assembly.
