Mian Manazir Hussain Ranjha

Mian Manazir Hussain Ranjha son of Mian Muzaffar Ali Ranjha was born on August 15, 1954 at Havelli Mian Sher Ali. He obtained the degree of LL.B. in 1977 from University of the Punjab, Lahore. An agriculturist, who served as Member, Zila Council Sargodha for two terms during 1979-83 and 1983-87. He remained Member, Punjab Assembly during 1985-88, 1990-93, 1993-96 and 2002-07; functioned as Deputy Speaker Punjab Assembly during 1985-88 and again during 1990-93; as Acting Speaker, Punjab Assembly; as Member, PAC during 1993; as Chairman, Committee on Privileges during 1993-96; and as Minister for Colonies during 2003-07. He participated as representative of Punjab Assembly in Commonwealth Parliamentary Association Conference held in 1992 in Trinidad, Tobago. He has been elected for the fifth term as Member, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections 2013.
