Unlike the previous T20 World Cup seasons, 2021 and 2022, there will be no Super 12 Round. But don't be sad; it will be more exciting than the Super 12 Round. ICC has replaced the Super 12 Round with the Super 8 Round. Also, there will be 20 teams in the tournament compared to the 16 teams in the previous season. T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule

The T2o World Cup 2024 is scheduled in June 2024 in West Indies and the United States. The rest of the details are not yet announced by ICC.

T20 WC'24 Matches and Format

Previously, T20 World Cups had 45 matches, 12 matches in Round 1, 30 in the Super 12 Round, 2 semifinals, and a final match. This tournament will be a long one with more matches.

There will be 55 matches, 40 in Round 1, 12 in the Super 8 Round, 2 semifinals, and a final match.

T20 WC'24 Round 1 Format

20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. Each team in Round 1 will play four matches with its other group teams. It will count to 40 matches in Round 1 of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The top two teams at the Points Table of each group of Round 1 will advance to the Super Eight Round of the T20 World Cup 2024.

T20 WC'24 Super 8 Format

All the eight teams that will advance to this stage from Round 1 will be divided into two groups of four. Each team will play three matches against other teams of the same group. It will count to 12 matches in the Super 8 Round of the T20 World Cup 2024.

The top two teams at the Points Table of both groups of the Super 8 Round will advance to the Semi-Finals of the T20 World Cup 2024.

T20 WC'24 Knock-Out Rounds Format

Four teams reaching the semifinals will play one knockout match. The winner of the semifinals will reach the final. And we will get a new T20 World Cup Champion after the final match.

Regional Qualifiers
