A senior citizen named Muhammad Faiz, who was present at the times of Tehreek-e-Pakistan before the partition, shared his experiences of those times. He was a student in Amritsar when the campaign for a separate country Pakistan was on its peak. People came out on streets in large numbers, chanting slogans ‘Le kay rahein gay Pakistan’ ‘Ban kay rahay ga Pakistan’. He also used to participate in the rallies despite how the supporters of Pakistan were treated. Faiz narrated that tear gas was thrown at them as well, but the rallies went on.
