Phajja Siri Paye is the oldest Paye shop in Lahore. It is more than 100 years old, located in Taxali Gate near Shahi Qila (Lahore Fort). People come from faraway places to enjoy this desi nashta. The owner told that it was his father’s recipe and they have not changed it since. They use special authentic masalas to ensure the quality of the food and serve Paye from 6 AM in the morning till midnight. It takes about 5 hours to cook the dish. Their clean environment, cooperative staff and affordable prices are few of the reasons people love coming to Phajja Siri Paye. Once PM of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited Lahore and demanded to eat Paye from Phajja. His demand was fulfilled and he enjoyed it a lot. It is still an honor for the owners of the restaurant.
